About
Jordan Peyer received his BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Vassar College. His previous research experience includes investigating the diagnostic and prognostic value of peripheral markers of neural inflammation in concussion patients through the Intramural Research Training Award at the National Institutes of Health, and developing neurodegenerative disease models using neural fate acquisition in patient-derived fibroblasts through the ENDURE research program at Washington University in St. Louis. Jordan began pursuing the MD-PhD degree here at UCLA in 2021 and has joined the LTU lab for the PhD component; he is currently setting up brain organoid models of Down syndrome (DS) to investigate neural development. Outside of lab, he enjoys singing, gaming, lifting, and exploring the LA food scene.
